Mime Workshop

with Dan Griffiths

July 16, 2026

10 AM- 6 PM

Mime is the invisible art — the art of making the unseen seen, of conjuring worlds from empty space and a body in motion. In this intensive one-day workshop, award-winning performer and teacher Dan Griffiths guides participants through two of mime's great living traditions: the lyrical, poetic language of French mime, shaped by the lineage of Marcel Marceau, and the rigorous,body-centred discipline of Polish mime, rooted in the corporeal traditions of Eastern European physical theatre.

Woven throughout the day is physical conditioning - preparation and awareness work that trains the body to become a precise, expressive instrument. Whether you are an actor, dancer, clown, or simply curious about physical performance, this workshop offers practical tools and a deeper understanding of how stillness, gesture, and space communicate what words cannot.
