with Luz Gaxiola
August 8
10am-5pm
Learn classic clown acts and create your own routines in this one-day crash course in clowning. We will focus on performing with cartoony physicality and clear beats, preparing students to clown in the circus ring and on variety stages. Topics include:
creating a cartoon world - phrasing and musicality - gag structure - clown logic - clown physics
This will be a great intro for people curious about clowning and an opportunity for experienced performers to play with classic routines in a group. All levels welcome.
